Glad you had fun.

Did you happen to see a DairyCon toy ASS 09? I don't think there are two Dutch BotCons but I believe they are one of the four with that toy.

Good pics of the show and nice haul. I know you wanted MP TC.

Ask yourself: What would Starscream do?
:iconmysticom:
No idea, dunno what that is too.. XD; the official name of the con was 'Conversions' which IMHO sucks. XD

Now allll that I need to finish my TC collection is Robotheroes TC (the new one)! (not counting those promised to me by friends, or the ugly non blue TCs like G2, Pretender and so on)

From what I heard there was a lot of behind-the-stage crap surrounding that. The one who used to organize Dutch Botcon stepped out for private reasons about 3 years ago, and the current crew took over. But earlier this year Raymond T heard that a dutch convention got that repaint as an exclusive, which scared them because they're trying to stay on Hasbro's good side and are steering away from stuff that Hasbro US in particular will frown upon.

Raymond did some digging and appearantly the DBC guy was hosting a NEW convention and even posted a message on his blog on how Raymond is an asshole, how Conversions bends over for the kiddies instead of being for collectors (major BS if you ask me), calling out to his readers to not go to Conversions...Generally just being a prick. Some ugly words happened between the DBC guy and Raymond in particular and I'm not quite sure how it ended, though. I stood next to Raymond as he talked about this to a dealer, but I was dragged off near the end.

Can't imagine the new DBC getting a lot of attendees though...

Is Raymond the guy who originally did Dutch BotCon? Just making sure I know who all the players are.

I saw on Seibertron.com a bit of bashing going back and forth on the thread about the DairyCon exclusive on Dutch BotCon. Myself and Fred who runs Dairycon are keeping out of it.

I know about the con cause I help with one of the four cons that is doing the crossover Dairycon toy. I know DairyCon toys go for a nice amount of money. I didn't know if this was the con that had the exclusive or not.

I have the DairyCon crossover toy in hand for Gamer's Reunion and when I did hear about how Hasbro wants to keep an eye on fan projects now it did scare me at first. But if Hasbro wants I can show them the "books" on this. The con I help with, Gamer's Reunion is not self-sustaining at this time. We are lucky to come close to break even for being a new con. I think Hasbro is more concerned on how fan projects make profit than anything. I know DairyCon isn't a money maker either from what I've been able to figure out. Its all for the love of TFs than anything.

No, but I think he did help out. Not sure though.

Yeah, that's how I found out about it as well. Raymond was pretty open with it when I asked him though, so if you want to know more maybe you could send him an e-mail?

I wouldn't worry about the exclusive, btw. From what I gathered they'll only be going after Fan Project-esque companies, who are majorly starting to infringe on Hasbro's IP (especially with the actual figures and not just add-on parts).
